On their latest album En klang af tidløshed (“A sound of timelessness”) from 2009. Svøbsk turned quartet for the production, adding piano and percussion to the setup. The deliberately understated contributions of Nikolaj Busk (piano) and Tira Skamby (percussion) perfectly complement the closely knit musical patchwork, which takes the music to a new level.

The music on the album is written by Maren Hallberg and Jørgen Dickmeiss. Their bright and articulated music is rooted in the revived legacy of folk traditions from Denmark and its surrounding countries. Maren and Jørgen is part of the lively folk scene of the island of Fyn, whose music conservatory hosts the country’s folk programme –where they first met and started their love affair and duo career.
